SOUTH GLENS FALLS -- Mitch Fearis scored on a two-out error in the ninth inning, lifting South Glens Falls to a 3-2 upset victory over Scotia in Foothills Council baseball on Wednesday.

South High had forced extra innings in the bottom of the seventh when Josh Hay singled and later scored with the help of two errors.

Senior Matt Garcia pitched all nine innings for the Bulldogs, scattering eight hits. Fearis hit an RBI triple in the second inning.

Nick Schaub went 3 for 4 with a home run for Scotia.

Johnstown 6, Queensbury 4 (8 innings)

QUEENSBURY -- Jon Heroth’s RBI double and Robert Brown’s suicide squeeze pushd across two runs in the eighth as Johnstown defeated Queensbury.

Connor Rodecker pitched eight complete innings for Johnstown. Queensbury had a chance to end the game in the bottom of the seventh, but a failed suicide squeeze led to a double play.

Heroth went 4 for 4 for Johnstown.

Erik Wettersten doubled and tripled for Queensbury. Eric Daley had three singles.

The Spartans dropped to 6-2 in Foothills play, but kept sole possession of first place thanks to South High’s victory over Scotia.

BROADALBIN -- Joe Zarecki doubled home the winning run in the seventh inning as Broadalbin-Perth defeated Glens Falls.

Zarecki got the win on the mound, pitching a complete-game six-hitter.

Pat Burton and Dylan O’Sick each recorded two hits for Glens Falls.

HUDSON FALLS -- Kyle Casimiro pitched a complete-game five-hitter as Gloversville defeated Hudson Falls.

Mike Murray had a single and a home run and Chris Rockefeller hit a triple for Gloversville. Caleb Stevens singled twice for Hudson Falls.

Warrensburg 4, Hadley-Luzerne 3 (8 innings)

WARRENSBURG -- Nick Perrone singled home the winning run in the eighth inning to give Warrensburg an Adirondack League baseball victory over Hadley-Luzerne, the Burghers’ third walkoff win in the last four games.

Nolan Maltbie’s bunt scored Justin Baird with the tying run in the seventh inning to force extra innings. Joe Brunelle tripled in the eighth and scored the game-winning run on Perrone’s hit over the right fielder’s head.

Fort Ann 22, Fort Edward 1

FORT ANN -- Joe Foran hit two home runs as part of another big day at the plate as Fort Ann improved to 12-0.

Foran drove in five runs with a grand slam, a solo homer and a double, giving him 198 hits, two short of the state record. His double was the 52nd of his career, breaking the Section II record.

Garrett Bailey went 3 for 4 with a double and three RBIs.

CHESTERTOWN -- Greg Rosenthal drove in two runs with three hits as Lake George upped its record to 10-2 overall.

Cameron Scott, Tom Clark and Craig Keenan each had two hits for the Warriors. Brandon Matthews picked up the win on the mound.

Christiaan Van Nispen doubled for North Warren.

HARTFORD -- Whitehall broke open a close game with six runs in the top of the fourth as the Railroaders beat Hartford.

Carl Rehm scattered five hits and struck out six over six innings for the win. Whitehall turned a triple play in the seventh to end the game.

Justin Hoagland went 3 for 5 for Whitehall with a double, a triple, two RBIs and four runs.

Shane Rogers went two for three for Hartford.

White pitched four no-hit innings for his first varsity win. Greg Kelley went 3 for 3 with a double and a pair of RBIs. Nate Woodcock went 2 for 5 with two ribbies.

SCHUYLERVILLE -- Caleb Rowland’s two-out, three-run double capped a four-run fifth inning as Cambridge scored a Wasaren League baseball victory over Schuylerville.

Matt Parmenter struck out 10 to pick up the win and singled home the tying run in the fifth. Brady Sausville recorded two singles and an RBI.

Codie Brown had a two-run single and Joe Braim had two singles for Schuylerville.

CLUMS CORNERS -- Schuyler Radliff cleared the bases with a three-run double in the top of the seventh that lifted Stillwater to victory over Tamarac.

Liam Kane doubled twice and drove in three runs for Stillwater. Jon Brewster went 3 for 4

GRANVILLE -- J.T. Sawyer struck out seven in the winning effort and Frank Ayker recorded three hits as first-place Hoosic Valley improved to 8-1.

Logan O’Brien recorded two hits for Granville, which pulled off a triple play in the third inning.

SCHOHARIE -- Jake Van Patten went 4 for 6 with a double and four runs scored to lead Spa Catholic to the win.

Cam Coons went 3 for 4 with a double and five RBIs for the Saints, who also got three hits from Jesse Winters and two apiece from Liam Gibney and Colin Bradley. Gibney drove in four runs.

Freshman Owen O’Reilly struck out seven in six innings of work to earn the win.

WESTPORT -- Collin Farrell recorded two hits and two RBIs and Indian Lake-Long Lake scored eight times over the fourth and fifth innings to defeat Westport.

Henry Sandiford and Curtis Seaman also had two hits each for the Orange. Sandiford picked up the win on the mound.

Thomas Mero had two hits for Westport.
