The Philadelphia Flyers announced the signing of four players to American Hockey League contracts on Wednesday, including goalie Nic Riopel and defenseman Logan Stephenson.
The Flyers also signed defensemen J.P. Testwuide and Jesse Dudas.
Riopel, 21, was a fifth-round pick by the Flyers in 2009. He played 11 games with the Phantoms, posting a 4-6 record with a 3.35 goals-against-average and an .893 save percentage.
He was assigned to Moncton of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League on Dec. 17. He went 19-5 and helped the team to a league title and a spot in the Memorial Cup.
Stephenson played 62 games with the Phantoms, scoring one memorable goal and six assists. He had 140 penalty minutes. Stephenson earned his way into a contract last season after starting on a tryout basis in camp.
J.P. Testwuide, 25, brother of prospect Mike, who likely will also play for the Phantoms, comes from the Houston Aeros. He had two goals, six assists and 111 penalty minutes in 58 games last season.
Jesse Dudas, 22, split time between Bloomington of the International Hockey League and Corpus Christi of the Central Hockey League.
