I attended a forum today at the high school and listened to two candidates speak. I am part of a class called participation in government. I was excited to get to know two candidates running for Queensbury Town Supervisor. I listened carefully to what each person had to say. For me, there was clear winner. I expect she will also win on Election Day. Her name is Rachel Seeber. I was specifically impressed when she was asked about one of the most important issues in our community. Rachel spoke openly and honestly about respect and how she does not believe in political personal attacks. She shared with us that she is a team player and can unite our community moving forward. I was really excited at the end of the forum when dozens of my classmates all approached her and told Rachel that what she said resonated with them. One of my friends said that they realize now, that our local leaders do not have to be defined or limited by their political affiliations, they do not have to be labeled strictly a D or an R.  They just have to care about us; the people and in my case, a soon-to-be-registered voter when I turn 18. So for those of you that couldn't be there, for those of you that do get to vote in a few days, please vote for Rachel ... I know my friends will be cheering her on and I hope you will too.
