Government money should go toward community help. I think Route 9N is not in bad condition, the money for the road spent on things that need it. My reason is that the government’s money should be spent on schools rather than roads. In Utah a couple years ago, they had this same problem. People decided to spend the government’s money on education. Education is important for kids; without education, people wouldn’t be educated to pave roads.
Letter to the editor writer Mark McLain from Lake Luzerne wants Route 9N between Lake George and Corinth to be completely fixed, not just putting band-aids on potholes. I agree that roads need to be fixed if they really need to be. The government needs to spend their money on things that are important to the community. The government should consider using their money on things that actually need it, in ways like helping schools with forming a backpack program to help families who can’t afford food for the family. The government’s money can go toward a backpack program like at my school here in Hartford, which was created to help families who need it the most in the community.
