Editor:

Diana Palmer is the best candidate for Glens Falls Third Ward City Council because of her outstanding leadership experience, dedication to the community and integrity.

As owner of True North, an integrative health business in the Third Ward, I know Diana well. Diana serves our community as a professional marriage and family therapist and volunteer for multiple organizations. She has elected board experience and is prepared to bring that experience to city government. I encourage anyone who wants to cast a well-informed vote to view Diana’s qualifications on her Facebook page, “Elect Diana Palmer.”

Diana has a strong desire to serve this community well, and does so by informing herself and doing the research to make intelligent and thoughtful decisions. She is extremely visible in attending community functions and events. She is very active in her volunteer positions. She welcomes opportunities to educate herself and listen to the concerns of citizens. Time and again, I have witnessed her full commitment and follow through. Diana shows up.

As a therapist and small business owner, Diana understands systems and how to work within them skillfully. She has a deliberate, thoughtful approach. In making her decision to run for City Council, Diana immersed herself in city issues by attending nearly all Common Council meetings and maintaining contact with committee members, city department heads and the Warren County Economic Development Corporation.

Diana is committed to listening to residents’ concerns and advocating for them. She believes our human resources and sense of community are our strongest assets, and wants the public to have a voice. One of her best strengths is that she is a woman of action who follows through and responds.

I encourage all Third Ward voters to support Diana Palmer.  These times demand someone with Diana’s experience, dedication, leadership, work ethic and integrity.
