I’ve known John Strough for more than 20 years and have never doubted his honesty, commitment and love for the town of Queensbury. John has worked steadily and diligently on various projects, including rezoning and infrastructure upgrades at the Exit 18 corridor, the gateway to both the town of Queensbury and city of Glens Falls. To our town’s loss as we struggle with needed infrastructure upgrades, Queensbury made that investment and has gained a strong commercial/recreational base thanks to John’s hard work and vision for Queensbury’s future. John’s steady insistence over the years that for Queensbury to maintain a strong tax base, including sales tax, commercial development is mandatory. Exit 18 is coming to fruition with new businesses springing up along the corridor including pleasing architectural upgrades, also a favorite of John’s. Commercial development keeps everyone’s property taxes in check without overburdening the school system. John Strough accomplishes all of this without taking a penny of campaign donations from anyone. That’s right, John’s hand is never out for donations to his campaign thus avoiding potential conflicts of interest. We sure could use John in our town! John Strough is an exceptional leader, the citizens would do well to return him as supervisor, town of Queensbury.
