As a resident of Ward 3 in Queensbury, I do not feel as if I am receiving full representation. This is because my councilman, Mr. Irish, is living some 800 miles away in North Carolina. How can anybody do justice to any job when he/she is so far away?
Do you, the residents of Queensbury, realize that Mr. Irish is paid $18,000 a year plus a stipend of $1,116, as he does not use the town’s health insurance program? By the end of the year, Mr. Irish will have been absent for six months. Do the math! Are we wasting our tax dollars? The Town Board should appoint George Ferone to the position. Needless to say, I agree with Mr. Schmidt of Hudson Falls. I hope that a number of other Queensbury residents feel the same way.
