Wow. It doesn't need to be stated. The turnout for the dedication ceremony for the Civil War's Medal of Honor recipient, Lester Archer, was well-planned, well-executed and well-attended. We of the Medal of Honor Historical Society of the U.S. commend the leadership of those at the VFW who rose to the call and belatedly honored Sgt. Archer. He had fallen through the cracks with no marker to signify his bravery during the rebellion. That has been rectified and that marker will be evidence for posterity.
