I like a good joke, enjoy the sensitivity of “Red and Rover” on your puzzle page and a couple of others, but really, “The Argyle Sweater” in your Saturday, Dec. 9 issue was not only unhumorous, it was downright gross. This cartoon shows Mrs. Santa Claus doing a pole dance with a compromised, open-skirted posture, with gleeful “rain” reindeer offering cash for the display.
With recent uncovering of noted men in the motion picture industry and men in D.C. on both sides of the aisle, I should think your editors would be more sensitive. Who’s running the railroad?
There goes another symbol of our innocence.
