It probably won’t make any difference to repeat the press coverage of men in authority sexually assaulting girls and women. It’s really all an issue of power and control. There are even women who’ve reported the sexual assault done to them by our president. He was so gleeful when he bragged how famous guys can get away with it. Recently, a Republican said we should not expel Roy Moore because a Democrat might take his legislative “spot.” Roy should have thought of that before he assaulted the girls and women. Those in power really ought to be held to a higher standard. Our president is backing Mr. Moore, but I understand why. It’s because he got away with such a cowardly act himself many times. The ones he got to could have been your daughter, your sister, your mother, your wife. And the only reason guys like that give is because the females had female “parts.” Those with female “parts” had better expect a man to go after them! A man can’t help being a man, right? Wrong! If a man is indeed an adult, one of his responsibilities is to maintain control over his mind and body. If he cannot manage that, then it’s right to conclude that he is still a boy; boy in a man’s body. Not that it’s a crime to be a boy, no. But wise people do not turn a boy loose into positions where maturity and sobriety are required. This would tend to get messy.
