I read Ken Tingley’s column about the anger in America today, and he is so right about the anger that most Americans are experiencing these days. I also can’t stop thinking that I might have been one of those people that was yelling at others in printed words. If that is so, I offer my sincerest apologies to all readers, as it wasn’t my intention to berate or disrespect anyone. Sometimes I mix too much passion in my anger.
I can assure Mr. Tingley that I was raised to be considerate and polite to people in person. Yes, Mr. Tingley, I’m angry. America is angry, but the problem is where people direct their anger. There is right and wrong and every adult should know the difference. I am angry because there are too many Americans out there that are racist. I served my country for six years and took an oath to protect all Americans whether they be black, white, brown, or whatever religion they are. Why? Because we have veteran cemeteries all over the world filled with the same people who gave their lives for our freedom.
I am angry that there is Fox News that acts so unpatriotic by feeding my fellow Americans lies that turn them against our FBI. But I am furious that more legitimate news outlets like The Post-Star don’t do a big write up about how partisan this station is. They are filling your readers with misinformation, and I like facts and truth. I am angry that fellow Americans are gullible and believe such ridiculous lies that politicians feed them. I was never known as a disrespectful person, and if some of that came out in my letters, I am sorry I let my passions get the best of me.
