BINGHAMTON — State Police said a trooper was injured and a suspect was shot during a pursuit in Binghamton.

The Press & Sun-Bulletin reports that state troopers were trying to arrest a driver on a warrant at about 5 p.m. Tuesday. Authorities said the suspect struck a trooper with a vehicle when the suspect fled.

Police say the suspect sustained a gunshot wound before being apprehended.

The trooper and the suspect have been treated for injuries that are not life-threatening. Both were listed in stable condition Tuesday.

Authorities have not released the names of the trooper involved in the incident or the suspect.
