This is a list of what’s open and what’s closed in observance of the Labor Day holiday:
Many banks and credit unions will be closed Monday with a few exceptions. Area TD Banks will be open until 1 p.m. Monday. Citizen Bank locations in stores will be open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday.
Greater Glens Falls Transit buses will not run Monday. Greater Glens Falls Transit trolleys will run from Lake George to Glens Falls from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday. The last trolley leaves Lake George at 6 p.m.
Most government offices will be closed Monday.
Most grocery stores and supermarkets will be open with regular hours Monday. Sokol’s Market in Queensbury will be open 7 a.m. to 9 p.m and Sorrentino’s in South Glens Falls will be open 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for the Monday holiday.
Corinth Free Library, Crandall Public Library in Glens Falls, Hudson Falls Free Library and Saratoga Springs Public Library will be closed Monday. Corinth Free Library will return to regular hours after Labor Day (Tuesday and Thursday – 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 to 8:30 p.m.; Friday 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.).
Area post offices will be closed Monday. Express mail will be delivered.
Most medical providers will be closed Monday with a few exceptions. The Health Center on Broad Street in Glens Falls will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Warrensburg Health Center will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday. Other Hudson Headwaters Health Network offices will be closed Monday. Wilton Medical Arts urgent care will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Malta Medical Arts urgent care will be open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday.
Aviation Mall in Queensbury will be open 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Wilton Mall will be open 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday. Super Kmart in Queensbury and Wal-Mart stores in Queensbury (on Route 9 and on Quaker Road) and in Wilton will be open 24 hours on Monday.
Most landfills and recycling centers will be closed Monday with one exception. The town of Chester transfer station will be open from 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Monday.
