Buses

Greater Glens Falls Transit System buses will not run Friday.

Government offices

Government offices will be closed Friday.

Libraries

Crandall Public Library in Glens Falls, Hudson Falls Free Library and Saratoga Springs Public Library will be closed Friday.

Malls and department stores

Aviation Mall and Wilton Mall will be closed Friday and will be open regular hours Saturday.

Super Kmart in Queensbury will be closed Friday and will open 7 a.m. Saturday.

Wal-Mart stores in Queensbury and in Wilton will be closed Friday and will open at 6 a.m. Saturday.

Medical services

Most area medical providers, including Wilton Medical Arts, Malta Medical Arts and all Hudson Headwaters Health Network locations will be closed Friday.

Pharmacies

The following hours listed are for pharmacies only. Store hours may differ.

Most pharmacies will be closed Friday and will be open with normal hours Saturday.

CVS pharmacy on Congress Street in Saratoga Springs will remain open 24 hours Friday.

Post offices

There will be no regular mail delivery Friday. The lobby area of the Glens Falls post office will be open Friday. Area post offices will be open with regular hours Saturday.

Schools

Most area schools, including BOCES in Kingsbury and in Saratoga, will be closed Friday and will reopen Jan. 4.

Supermarkets/grocery stores/convenience stores

Most stores will be closed Friday and will be open with regular hours Saturday.

Stewart's store managers determine store hours, however, stores will open no later than 8 a.m. Friday.

Transfer stations and landfills

Washington County transfer stations will be closed Friday and will open 6:30 a.m. Saturday.

Queensbury transfer stations at Luzerne Road and Ridge Road will be closed Friday and will be open Saturday.

Carpenter Waste Friday pickups will be on Saturday.

Springer Waste Management's Friday pickups will be on Saturday.
