This list includes Thursday's early closures and some New Year's Day schedules, changes and closures:

Banks and credit unionsCitizens Bank on Bay Street in Glens Falls and at Congress Street in Saratoga Springs will be open regular hours Thursday. Citizens Bank at Price Chopper in Queensbury, at Hannaford in Wilton and at Wal-Mart in Wilton will close at 5 p.m. Thursday. TD Banknorth area branches will close at 6 p.m. Thursday except the South Glens Falls office. The South Glens Falls office will close at 8 p.m. Thursday. Glens Falls National Bank traditional banks will close at 5 p.m. Thursday. Key Bank in Glens Falls and Saratoga Springs, and First Niagara area branches will close at 3 p.m. Thursday. Trustco Bank area branches will close at 4 p.m. Thursday. Area banks will be closed Friday.

 

Cooper's Cave Federal Credit in Glens Falls and NMP Northern Area Federal Credit Union in South Glens Falls will have regular hours Thursday. Hudson River Credit Union offices in Glens Falls and in Corinth will close at 2 p.m. Thursday. TCT Federal Credit Union in Glens Falls will close at 3 p.m. Thursday. Area credit unions will be closed Friday.

BusesGreater Glens Falls Transit buses will run a normal schedule Thursday. Buses will not run Friday.

 

Government officesSome government offices will close early Thursday. Government offices will be closed New Year's Day. Washington County offices will close at 12:30 p.m. Thursday. These town offices will close at noon Thursday: Chester, Lake George, Stony Creek, Warrensburg, Kingsbury, Newcomb, Schroon Lake and Minerva. Northumberland and Lake Luzerne town offices will close at 1 p.m. Thursday. South Glens Falls village offices will close at noon Thursday. Johnsburg town offices will be closed Thursday. Thurman town offices will close at 3 p.m. Thursday.

 

LibrariesCrandall Public Library in Glens Falls will close at 12:30 p.m. Thursday and Saratoga Springs Public Library will close at 5 p.m. Thursday. Hudson Falls Free Library will be closed Thursday. Area libraries will be closed Friday. No Hudson Falls Free Library materials will be due Thursday or Friday. The libraries will be open regular hours Saturday.

Malls and superstoresAviation Mall will close at 6 p.m. Thursday and will be open 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday. Wilton Mall will close at 6 p.m. Thursday and will be open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday. Super Kmart in Queensbury, Wal-Mart in Queensbury and Wal-Mart in Wilton will remain open 24 hours Thursday and Friday.

 

Medical servicesMany medical offices will be closed Friday. Medical offices that normally have Saturday hours will be open Saturday.

 

Convenient Medical Center in Queensbury and McGregor Medical Center in Saratoga Springs will close at noon Thursday. Evergreen Health Center in Corinth, Granville Family Health and Whitehall Health Center will close at 3 p.m. Thursday. Wilton Medical Arts and Malta Medical Arts will close at 5 p.m. Thursday.

Hudson Headwaters offices will be open regular hours Thursday except: Health Center at Broad Street in Glens Falls, Chester-Horicon Health Center, Moreau Family Health Center, North Creek Health Center and Warrensburg Health Center will close at 5 p.m. Moriah Health Center and Ticonderoga Health Center will close at 3 p.m. Thursday.

These Hudson Headwaters health centers will be open Friday: Health Center at Broad Street in Glens Falls, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Warrensburg Health Center, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wilton Medical Arts will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Malta Medical Arts will be open 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday.

Irongate Acute Care will be open regular hours on Saturday.

PharmaciesThe following hours listed are for pharmacies only. Store hours may differ.

 

CVS Pharmacy on Quaker Road in Queensbury will be open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday. CVS Pharmacy on Congress Street in Saratoga Springs will be open 24 hours Friday. CVS pharmacies at Main Street in Queensbury, Greenwich, Kingsbury and Whitehall will be closed Friday.

Area Hannaford pharmacies will close at 6 p.m. Thursday and will be open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday.

Price Chopper pharmacies on Upper Glen Street in Queensbury and in Wilton will be open until 6 p.m. Thursday and will be open 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday.

Rite Aid Pharmacies on Broad Street in Glens Falls, on Ridge Street in Glens Falls, on Quaker Road in Queensbury, in South Glens Falls, on Ballston Avenue in Saratoga Springs and on Route 50 in Wilton will be open until 9 p.m. Thursday and will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday. The pharmacy on Dix Avenue in Kingsbury will be open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and the pharmacy on Main Street in Hudson Falls will be open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday.

Walgreen's Pharmacy in Wilton will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday.

McCann's Pharmacy in Hudson Falls and Super Kmart Pharmacy in Queensbury will be closed Friday

Wal-Mart pharmacies in Queensbury and in Wilton will be open until 6 p.m. Thursday and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday.

Post officesMain post offices in Glens Falls, Lake Placid and Saranac Lake and Saratoga post offices on Washington Street and on Broadway will be open regular hours Thursday. Other area local post offices, including Queensbury and South Glens Falls, will close at noon Thursday. There will be no regular mail delivery Friday. Glens Falls post office lobby area will be open for patrons to access postal machines Friday. Area post offices will be open with regular hours Saturday.

 

SchoolsMost area schools, including BOCES in Kingsbury and in Saratoga, will be closed Thursday and Friday and will reopen Monday.

 

Supermarkets/grocery stores/convenience storesMost markets will be open with regular hours Thursday.

 

Grand Union Family Markets in Bolton Landing, Corinth, Schroon Lake and Warrensburg will be open regular hours Thursday and Friday.

Hannaford stores on Broad Street in Glens Falls, in Kingsbury, on Quaker Road in Queensbury, in South Glens Falls and on Weibel Avenue in Saratoga Springs will close at 11 p.m. Thursday and will reopen at 7 a.m. Friday. Hannaford Stores in Kingsbury and South Glens Falls will close at 10 p.m. Thursday and will open 7 a.m. Friday. Lewis Market in Kingsbury will be open 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. Byron's Market in Schuylerville will be open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday. Jacob and Toney Market in Warrensburg will be open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday.

Area Price Chopper stores will close at 10 p.m. Thursday and open at 7 a.m. Friday.

Sokol's Market in Queensbury will close at 8 p.m. Thursday and will be open 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday.

The Indian Lake Market will be open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday.

Sorrentino's in South Glens Falls will close at 3 p.m. Thursday and will be closed New Year's Day.

Transfer stations and landfills

Most transfer stations and landfills will be closed Friday.

Washington County transfer stations will be closed Thursday and Friday and will open 6:30 a.m. Saturday.

The Queensbury transfer station at Luzerne Road will be closed Friday. Both Ridge Road and Luzerne Road will be open Saturday.

Warrensburg transfer stations will close at noon Thursday.

County Waste's Friday pickups will be on Saturday.

Springer Waste Management's Friday pickups will be on Saturday.
