HUDSON FALLS — On Saturday, Sept. 23 at 7 p.m., Barbora Kolarova, the artistic director of the Lake George Music Festival, performs a solo violin recital at the Strand Theater to benefit Hurricane Harvey victims.

"I will be performing J.S. Bach 'Partita No.III in E Major' and S. Prokofiev 'Sonata for Solo Violin' along with N. Paganini's 'Caprice No.24' and F. Kreisler's 'Recitative and Scherzo,'" Kolarova said. "I will also be performing a very unique piece by Bruce Adolph, which is for violin solo and a narrator. The piece is called 'The Bitter, Sour, Salt Suite,' and it looks like I will be narrating it myself, so it will be a lot of fun!"

The proceeds from this recital will be donated to those affected by Hurricane Harvey.

"I will also livestream my concert and everyone watching the performance will be able to donate through an online link that will be set up specifically for helping people in the affected areas," she said. "Please join me in trying to help everyone affected by these terrible events through something that is so special — music."

Tickets are $12.

The concert will be livestreamed on her Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/barboraviolin/
