INDIAN LAKE — State Police are investigating a snowmobile accident that killed two people on Indian Lake Saturday evening.
The accident was reported at 6:44 p.m. and involved two snowmobiles.
State police officials confirmed the two deaths but had no additional details. A spokesman at Troop B in Ray Brook said a press release would be available Monday with more information.
The accident was one of two fatal crashes involving snowmobiles in the Adirondacks Saturday.
At 10:30 p.m. Saturday, in the Herkimer County town of Ohio, a 47-year-old Frankfort man was killed when he went off the trail, was thrown from his sled and hit a tree.
Police identified the victim in the Herkimer County accident as Scott Streeter. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
