The Post-Star selected its Top 10 local stories of 2017 through voting by 14 newsroom staff members who reviewed 70 nominated subjects. Of those 70 stories, 31 of them — including stories as varied as the Kingsbury coyote attack, the Glens Falls Civic Center name change and the commercial growth at Northway exits 18 and 19 — received at least one vote for inclusion in the Top 10.
