QUEENSBURY -- State Police were involved in a standoff Monday afternoon with a young man who had threatened to harm himself and was refusing to come out of a home on Helen Drive.

No injuries were reported after the standoff ended shortly before 4 p.m. when the man surrendered and was taken to Glens Falls Hospital.

No weapons were recovered.

Troopers had called in the agency's emergency response team as they tried to talk the man into leaving the home.

The Queensbury school district delayed release of some students in younger grades who are bused to that neighborhood because of the incident, police said.

The Carport should be paid with funds from money that was taken in drug raids.

Just what I thought but they probably haven't finished painting it yet and it was raining yesterday and evidently that vehicle can't be used in the rain! That's why they need that $60 grand carport!

Why call the state police when York can drive in his mine truck. That should stop him in his tracks ;)
