Numerous local police departments will open their doors Saturday to help people dispose of unused prescription drugs.
The effort is part of “National Drug Take Back Day,” which runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at police stations around the region.
The sheriff’s officers in Warren, Washington and Saratoga sheriff’s offices will take part. The Warren and Washington county agencies will collect at their main stations, while the Saratoga County agency will collect at the Moreau, Malta, Clifton Park and Halfmoon rescue squads.
Whitehall Police, Saratoga Springs Police, Ballston Spa Police and Hoosick Falls Police will collect at their stations, while the State Police station on Aviation Road in Queensbury will also be a collection site.
