MALTA -- A 77-year-old man was arrested Tuesday night after he allegedly shot another man in the leg with a shotgun at a Route 9 motel, according to police.
The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries, and was treated at Saratoga Hospital and released. His name was not released.
The incident happened at Budget Inn shortly after 5 p.m.
State Police said Bruce A. Stevens, 77, shot the man, for a reason that was not specified.
Stevens fought with troopers who responded to the scene, and suffered minor injuries. He was also treated at Saratoga Hospital and released.
He was charged with felony counts of first-degree assault, criminal possession of a weapon and criminal use of a firearm, as well as misdemeanor resisting arrest. Stevens was arraigned and sent to Saratoga County Jail for lack of bail.
