GLENS FALLS -- Owners of the Adirondack Phantoms have agreed to keep the team in Glens Falls for another season, Glens Falls Mayor John “Jack” Diamond announced Friday.

The agreement allows the city to continue recruiting a new permanent hockey tenant for the Glens Falls Civic Center.

Phantoms owners Rob and Jim Brooks will relinquish their lease option if the city recruits another team before April 1, according to a press release.

I heard a guy at the top of Section U had trouble giving away 4 FREE tickets for tonight's game.

How about instead of the Phantoms next year, we just have that new junior girls team that plays at the Forum in Lake George. At least they hustle and score a goal once in a while.

I've spent my last dime supporting these guys.
Management demanded a ton of support to get them here and continues to put a sub par product on the ice.
Besides that, I hate smelling like popcorn when I leave the building

There is a good reason why they have to stay in Glens Falls for another year. last week I drove by the new arena that is being constructed for them in Allentown, PA. There is nothing but a hole in the ground filled with mud. Literally! I took some photos so if the Post star would like to use them, just contact me.

    Mayor:
Please find another team! I heard that Calgary/Abbotsford was interested? Please get a team that wants to be here.

i would love to support this team but find it hard to do with the lack of commitment to the city of glens falls. everyone at the arena seems thrilled to be there on game night, even the workers. go to an albany game, check out that atmosphere. everyone there is on their phone, doing anything BUT watching the game. everyone working there looks like they're on suicide watch. if glens falls ever gets a long term committment from an ahl team im all in.but i cant commit to this year to year crap
