Here is a list of what is open and what is closed Monday, Martin Luther King Day.


Most area banks and credit unions will be closed Monday with some exceptions. Area TD Banks will be open with regular hours Monday. Citizens Banks at Price Chopper in Queensbury and at Hannaford in Saratoga Springs will be open 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday.


Greater Glens Falls Transit System schedules will remain the same Monday except the Warren County Municipal Center bus and night buses will not run.

Government offices

Most government offices will be closed Monday.


Crandall Library, Hudson Falls Free Library and Corinth Free Library will be closed Monday.

Saratoga Springs Public Library will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday.

Post offices

There will be no Monday regular mail delivery at area post offices. The automated postal center at Glens Falls Post office is available 24 hours.


Public schools, including Washington-Saratoga-Warren-Hamilton-Essex BOCES, will be closed Monday.


Aviation Mall and Wilton Mall will be open with regular hours Monday.

Wal-Mart stores in Queensbury and Wilton will be open 24 hours Monday.

Super Kmart in Queensbury will be open 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday.


Many landfills and transfer stations are normally closed Monday. Town of Bolton, Lake George, Warrensburg and Moreau landfill/transfer stations will be closed Monday. Washington County transfer stations (all locations) will be closed Monday and Tuesday.
