A local business is helping child crime victims by donating lavender-laced teddy bears to the Washington County Sheriff's Office.
Lavenlair Farms of Fort Ann makes bears that are adorned with lavender grown at the farm, and the scent is believed to have natural calming effects. The business has offered to donate bears to the Sheriff's Office to be distributed to child crime victims, with one being donated to the agency for each one Lavenlair Farms sells.
Bears can be purchased through lavenlairfarm.com, by visiting the business on Deweys Bridge Road or by calling co-owner Diane Allen at (973) 820-3264. They cost $20 apiece.
