HUDSON FALLS -- The 9-year-old Hudson Falls girl hit by a car in a parking lot Saturday remained in Albany Medical Center on Tuesday in serious condition, police said.

Morgan Tougas, of Elm Street, was on a ventilator but had improved, Hudson Falls Police Chief Randy Diamond said.

Morgan was hurt Saturday afternoon when she ran into the path of a car being driven by a restaurant food delivery person in a parking lot off Main Street, police said.

The driver, Yan Li Chen, 28, of Hudson Falls was not charged and Diamond said it does not appear he will be charged, though the investigation was ongoing as of Tuesday.
