QUEENSBURY — Fourteen of the 18 Six Flags parks are getting new rides for the 2018 season, including Great Escape, which will add a ride called Pandemonium.
Park officials called it “a sensational spin on a classic thrill ride” and said it will have guests catching air and experiencing 360 degrees of excitement.
“Six Flags is the leader in thrill ride innovations and well-known for introducing amazing rides and attractions in every park, every year,” said Six Flags Great Escape Resort President Eric Gilbert in a press release.
Pandemonium will seat 24 riders in a “face-out” position and will lift, spin and tilt at all angles. It accelerates, whirling guests around. Lights flash.
The new attraction will be located alongside the Screaming Eagles ride in the Alpine Fest Area. Pandemonium’s lights will illuminate the entire area.
At other parks, Six Flags is adding Harley Quinn and Wonder Woman-themed rides, the world’s largest loop coaster at its Illinois park and new waterpark attractions in Virginia, St. Louis and California.
