GREENWICH -- A third vote on building a new firehouse is scheduled for noon to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the courtroom in Village Hall.

Village voters will be asked to approve spending $1.8 million for a new station, which will replace the one attached to the Village Hall. The old station has been condemned, and Greenwich Fire Department trucks are being stored in another building at Village Hall and at the Department of Public Works garage.

In 2011, voters defeated a $3.53 million proposal, 258-44. A year later, the vote against a $2.45 million station was turned down, 168-99.

Almost like voting for a school budget.
