WHITEHALL — A Vermont woman was jailed Friday night on three drug charges after an arrest by state troopers in the village of Whitehall, police records show.

Kristan A. Mason, 34, of Wells, Vermont, was arrested around 5 p.m. on South Williams Street after an investigation by State Police, according to the agency's public information website.

She was charged with a felony count of criminal possession of a controlled substance and two misdemeanor counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance for possession of unspecified narcotics, records show.

Mason was sent to Washington County Jail after her arrest, but had been released as of early Sunday.
