QUEENSBURY — Two men were jailed Friday afternoon after State Police seized an ounce of cocaine following a traffic stop on the Northway, police said.
The duo were stopped around 3 p.m. for an unspecified traffic violation, and police found that both were in possession of cocaine, authorities said.
Charged with felony counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance were Samer S. Abdelhak, 28, of Gloversville, and Daniel P. Sumpter, 31, of Amsterdam, police records show. Sumpter faces three felonies and Abdelhak two.
Sumpter was also charged with misdemeanor counts of possessing prescription drugs outside their container, criminal possession of a controlled substance and non-criminal unlawful possession of marijuana, records show.
Both were arraigned and sent to Warren County Jail for lack of bail.
