SOUTH GLENS FALLS — A Queensbury man was charged with felony driving while intoxicated Tuesday night after he drove into a vehicle that had stopped for pedestrians in a crosswalk, injuring one person, police said.
Jason A. Morrill, 44, of Ridge Road, was arrested after the 6 p.m. collision on Main Street, according to South Glens Falls Police.
Authorities said he drove into the back of a stopped sedan driven by Terri Senecal of Glens Falls, and Senecal's car was pushed toward pedestrians who were crossing, police said. Senecal was treated at the scene for minor injuries by Moreau Rescue Squad members.
Morrill refused to take a breath test, but was deemed intoxicated by police based on their observations. He has a prior DWI conviction within 10 years, which elevated the charge filed Tuesday to felony DWI.
Morrill also faces traffic tickets, and was released on a court appearance ticket.
South Glens Falls Police officers Jason Martin and James Holcomb handled the case.
