QUEENSBURY — An inmate in Warren County Jail faces charges for allegedly violating an order of protection by calling a woman from jail, police said.
Michael B. Williams, 29, of Wall Street, Hudson Falls, was charged with aggravated family offense, a felony, and misdemeanor criminal contempt after an investigation by the Warren County Sheriff's Office. He is accused of calling the woman "several" times, police said.
Williams was in jail for lack of bail on a felony criminal mischief charge filed last month for damage he allegedly caused at a home on McDonald Street in Glens Falls, police said. He also was being held on a parole violation warrant related to a 2014 domestic abuse conviction in Warren County Court.
Sheriff's Investigator Terri Jeffords handled the case.
