BOLTON — A Schroon Lake man faces numerous charges after he was found to be driving under the influence of drugs when he was pulled over on the Northway late Monday.
Nicholas J. Budwick, 20, was stopped just after 8 p.m. in the northbound lanes of the highway, according to State Police.
He was found to be impaired by drugs and to possess heroin and prescription drugs, police records show. He also allegedly tried to hide 10 packets of heroin in his mouth as he was being arrested.
Budwick was charged with felony tampering with physical evidence and misdemeanor counts of driving while ability impaired by drugs and criminal possession of a controlled substance and noncriminal unlawful possession of marijuana.
He was released, pending prosecution in Bolton Town Court.
