QUEENSBURY — A Scotia man pleaded guilty Wednesday to a felony charge for illegally possessing prescription drugs and heroin last September in Glens Falls.

Nelson G. Salisbury, 51, pleaded guilty to fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance for an arrest after a traffic stop, during which police seized 200 Xanax tablets and an unspecified quantity of heroin.

Warren County Judge John Hall agreed to sentence him to 6 months in Warren County Jail and 5 years on probation.

Salisbury also agreed to forfeit $701 in cash that he had.
