GLENS FALLS — Police arrested a Glens Falls woman on multiple drug charges Saturday night after a traffic stop on Ridge Street, officials said.
Tiffany N. Tougas, 22, of New Pruyn Street, was arrested when Glens Falls Police pulled her vehicle over after spotting her driving an uninspected vehicle without a seat belt on, police said.
Tougas and a passenger gave conflicting stories about where they were headed, and a search led to police seizing crack cocaine, powder cocaine and prescription drugs from Tougas, officials said.
The crack was packaged for sale, which led to a felony charge of criminal possession of a controlled substance, and police also charged her with three misdemeanor counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, court records show.
Tougas was arraigned and sent to Warren County Jail for lack of bail.
Glens Falls Police Patrolman Zack Tanner made the arrest.
