QUEENSBURY — A Glens Falls woman who had been banned from Wal-Mart for shoplifting was charged with burglary Wednesday for allegedly going back to one of the chain's Queensbury stores and shoplifting again, police said.
Valerie A. Hess, 46, was charged with third-degree burglary, a felony, and misdemeanor petit larceny for going into the Route 9 store to steal merchandise after being banned in 2016, according to the Warren County Sheriff's Office.
Under state law, going into a building without permission to commit a crime is burglary.
Hess was arraigned and sent to Warren County Jail without bail. She has two prior felony convictions, so no bail could be set.
