QUEENSBURY — A Glens Falls man who is on parole for a 2015 felony drug conviction was arrested again Tuesday for allegedly selling drugs in Glens Falls, police said.
Benjamin E. Rivera, 27, was charged with selling cocaine last year in Glens Falls. He faces a felony count each of criminal sale of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Glens Falls Police arrested him during a traffic stop on Morgan Avenue based on a warrant from Warren County Court on a sealed grand jury indictment and charged him with unlawful possession of marijuana for marijuana he had at the time of his arrest.
He was arraigned in Warren County Court and sent to Warren County Jail for lack of bail.
He is on parole for a criminal possession of a controlled substance conviction that stemmed from heroin sales in Glens Falls. He was sentenced to 4 years and went through the state's shock incarceration program for early release.
Rivera also served a state prison term for a 2006 conviction related to the sale of cocaine, which came after he was charged with tampering with evidence for hiding a gun that was used in an accidental shooting of his brother.
Glens Falls Police, State Police and sheriff's officers from Warren and Washington counties assisted with the most recent case.
