QUEENSBURY — A former Glens Falls woman who was caught with 100 bags of heroin in Glens Falls last summer has been sentenced to 2 years in state prison.
Jamie L. Russell, 24, of Waterbury, Connecticut, pleaded guilty to third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony, in connection with an arrest in Glens Falls last Aug. 25. The charge alleges she had the drug with intent to distribute it.
She was in a vehicle that was checked in the parking lot of the Hannaford store on Broad Street after police received a call about suspicious activity there.
Russell was wanted at the time on arrest warrants in Glens Falls in connection with a 2013 marijuana-growing operation at her former home on Warren Street. She fled the area after that arrest.
Warren County Judge John Hall sentenced her to 2 years in prison and 2 years on parole in satisfaction of all charges.
