QUEENSBURY — A Gansevoort man who stole a car that was left running outside a Glens Falls business last fall has been sentenced to up to 3 years in state prison.
Joshua J. Urbonowicz, 37, was charged in the October theft of a Saturn sedan that had been left in a parking lot on Hudson Avenue with the engine running. The owner's cellphone and a credit or debit card were inside the vehicle, according to Glens Falls Police.
State Police found the car the next day at a Petteys Road home where Urbonowicz was staying, according to police.
Urbonowicz pleaded guilty to fourth-degree grand larceny, a felony, and was sentenced to 1 1/2 to 3 years in state prison. He had a prior felony conviction that mandated a prison sentence for subsequent felony convictions within 10 years.
