FORT EDWARD — Friends of the IBA Executive Director Laurie LaFond and birder Bo Harris will lead a bird walk on Saturday at the Washington County Grasslands Important Bird Area.

The walk will start at 8 a.m. at the Alfred Z. Solomon Grassland Bird Viewing Area and will include a private tour of 64 acres of critical habitat the group is working to buy.

The trip will also include a visit to the state's wildlife management area and other prime birding sites nearby.

Call 518-677-3350 to register. The fee for the walk is $15 for non-members. It is free for members.
