GLENS FALLS -- Because of the recent outbreak of the H1N1 virus in the Glens Falls region, Glens Falls Hospital has revised its policy with regard to children visiting the hospital.
Children under 18, other than patients, will not be allowed to visit the main hospital campus, nor the hospital's 24 affiliated health centers.
Children under 18 who have extenuating circumstances and must visit the hospital may be allowed to do so; hospital officials will consider circumstances and make decisions on a case-by-case basis.
This measure is being put in place to help curtail the rapid spread of H1N1 influenza in the community and will be in place for the duration of flu season.
