QUEENSBURY -- The town has announced the schedule for spring yard waste pickup.

Leaves, grass clippings and pine needles must be placed in biodegradable paper bags and left close to the road, but not in the street.

Tree limbs shorter than 8 feet and under 4 inches in diameter may be left close to the roadside.

The schedule is as follows:

* 4th Ward — May 6-17; yard waste must be put out on May 5;

* 3rd Ward — May 20-24; yard waste must be put out on May 19;

* 1st and 2nd wards — May 28-31; yard waste must be put out on May 27.
