March 15, 1953 — March 9, 2018

GLENS FALLS — Timothy J. Palmer, 64, passed away on Friday, March 9, 2018 at his home, with his family by his side.

Born March 15, 1953 in Ballston Spa, he was the son of the late Clement and Edna (Fisher) Palmer.

Tim proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1971 to 1974.

Upon returning home, he married Colleen Murphy on Sept. 1, 1979 in St. Mary’s/St. Paul’s Church On the Circle in Hudson Falls.

Tim was employed by Finch Pruyn in Glens Falls and was a member of the Steelworkers Union. He retired after 30 years of service.

Tim and Colleen loved to travel. They visited Hawaii, Las Vegas, Myrtle Beach, Florida, and took many cruises together. He also loved hunting and fishing. When his children were younger, Tim enjoyed watching his son play ice hockey and also enjoyed spending time fishing with his daughter. He was a Giants fan, and also loved taking care of his yard and pool, while working on his tan. He could often be found grabbing coffee and hanging out with his brother, Billy. Most of all, Tim will be remembered as a true family man who loved nothing more than spending time with his family and grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Tim was predeceased by his infant daughter, Heidi Lyn Palmer, his sister, Joan Noonan, his father and mother-in-law, John and Janice Murphy and his brother-in-law, Daniel Murphy.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 39 years, Colleen Palmer; his children, Erika Rabine (Patrick) and Timothy (TJ) Palmer; his grandchildren, Brooke, Brett and Lily Rabine; his siblings, Wendy Smith (Karl), Bernie Palmer (Joanne), Linda Breault (Dale), Nora Miller (Frank), William Palmer (Doreen), Clement Palmer (Hazel) and Michael Palmer (Stephanie); his sisters-in-law, Noreen Reynolds and her husband, Keith, and Theresa Murphy; his brother-in-law, John Murphy (Terry); his special aunts, Shirley Miller and Carole Murphy; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins, and his beloved golden-doodle Millie.
