Silvio is survived by his children, Diane (Randy) Meade and Lenny (Nancy) Campagnone; three grandchildren, James (Jaclyn) Campagnone, Brooke Bottum (Chris Rielly) and Elizabeth Campagnone (Nick DeMarte); three great-grandchildren, Landon and Addilyn Campagnone and Makenna Rielly; sister, Phyllis Gillette; and brother, Michael Campagnone; sisters-in-law, Charlotte Campagnone and Myrtle (Robert) Ovitt; dear friend and companion, Jeanne Shearer; and several nieces and nephews.
Silvio will always be remembered for his impeccable work ethic. He worked as a pressman for The Post-Star, Guy Printing and Color Tech Lithographics. Post-retirement, he worked another 10 years for Friendly’s Ice Cream.
He was very devoted to his family. He helped build and remodel houses, wallpapered and painted, picked up his grandchildren from school and taught them to drive. Many a Saturday, he could be found helping at Villa’s bakery. Family and friends looked forward to his visits when he would drop off a few loaves of warm bread.
The family would like to thank the staff of Indian River Nursing Home for their care and kindness. A special thank you to his roommate, Bill, and neighbor, Paul.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 13, at St. Michael’s Church, Saratoga Ave. South Glens Falls. There will be no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, a donation could be made to the charity of ones choice in Silvio’s name.
