CORINTH — Samuel E. H. DeLoriea, 56, of Rt. 9N, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2018 at Saratoga Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
Born on Nov. 10, 1961 in Saratoga Springs, he was the son of the late Thomas Jr. and Ethel (Woodworth) DeLoriea.
Sam graduated from Corinth High School in 1980.
He was employed as a truck driver for Adirondack Transport in Gansevoort for four years and currently worked as a self-employed general contractor for several years.
During his youth, he was a member of Corinth Youth Boxing.
He enjoyed fishing, doing camp wood, and cooking, and loved cooking for others. He liked to get things done and was a hard worker and devoted father.
Survivors include two children, Samuel E. H. DeLoriea, Jr. and Shianne O. DeLoriea, both of Corinth; one sister, Brenda DeLoriea of Corinth; two nephews, Thomas Howe (Jessica) of Corinth and John Howe (Tracy Broadhurst) of Glens Falls; one niece, Susan Wilson of Corinth; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018 at the Densmore Funeral Home, Inc., 7 Sherman Ave., Corinth. At the family’s request, there are no services scheduled.
The family wishes to thank the staff at the chemotherapy center at Saratoga Hospital and the nurses in the ICU at Saratoga Hospital for their kindness and care given to Sam during his illness.
The family suggests that donations be made to the Densmore Funeral Home, Inc., 7 Sherman Ave., Corinth, NY, 12822 to help with the cost of funeral expenses.
