HUDSON FALLS — Noelle C. (Dowd) Edwards, 46, a resident of Hudson Falls, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Dec. 3, 2017 at Fort Hudson Nursing Home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on June 18, 1971 in Glens Falls, and was the daughter of Ronald and Sheila (Bates) Dowd, of Queensbury.
Noelle was a graduate of Glens Falls High School, class of 1989 and attended classes at Adirondack Community College. For over 20 years, she ran her parents business, Sheron’s Uniform in Hudson Falls, and at one time, she worked at the Joy Store in South Glens Falls.
She was an EMT and life member of the Moreau Emergency Squad. Noelle loved to line dance and competed in competitions at the former Country Roads on Route 9 in South Glens Falls. Noelle’s family, in 2015, was Fly 92.3 radio station secret Santa Recipient. Her family, in 2016, received from an anonymous donor Christmas gifts for her and her children as well as Lending Hearts & Hands who also did a fundraiser for Noelle in Dec. 2016. In 2017 she was a recipient of the South High Marathon Dance. She also enjoyed traveling and taking family vacations to Old Orchard Beach, Maine; Disney and Six Flags, New York City and Buffalo Bill s games. Noelle was an avid, New York Yankees, San Francisco Forty Niners and Jeff Gordon fan. She also loved collecting snowman figurines, her late German Shepard Tate and dog sitting the family pets.
She is predeceased by her maternal and paternal grandparents; aunts, Eva Bates and Deborah Dowd LaPoint.
Survivors include her husband, Steven Edwards, of Hudson Falls; two children, Shawna Mae Edwards, of Queensbury, Kody Joseph Edwards, of Hudson Falls; her parents Ronald and Sheila Dowd, of Queensbury; sister, Nicole Van Guilder (Steven), of Glens Falls, brother, Derrick Dowd (Pamela), of Hudson Falls; step son, Steven Barrett, of Hudson Falls, nephews, Christopher Van Guilder, Douglas Dowd, Logan Dowd; niece, Susan-Mary Bates and several other nieces and nephews as well as special friends, Angelique Harrington, Casey Livingston, Suzanne Brooks and Patty Regan Fitzgerald.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. on Friday Dec. 8, at St. Michael the Archangel Church, Saratoga Ave., South Glens Falls.
Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in South Glens Falls.
Calling hours are scheduled from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 7, at the Singleton Sullivan Potter Funeral Home, 407 Bay Road, Queensbury.
