FORT ANN -- Jason M. Hall, 38, of Route 149, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, Aug. 19, 2011, at his home in Fort Ann.

Born March 5, 1973, he was the son of Alma Inez (Dutcher) Hall and the late Hial P. Hall Jr. He attended Fort Ann Central School. He was a longtime employee of Washington County Municipal Center.

He enjoyed his cooking show on YouTube, called Halsey's Kitchen. His hobbies included weightlifting and he also had two pet cats, Bonnie and Clyde, who predeceased him.

Jason was predeceased by his father Hial P. Hall Jr. who passed away Dec. 16, 2004, and his half-brother Hial P. Hall III who passed away May 30, 2010.

Survivors are his mother, Alma Hall of Fort Ann; one half-sister, Christine Laplanche of Argyle; one half-brother, Anthony Hall and wife, Carolyn, of Fort Ann; half-sister-in-law, Carol Hall of Athol. He is also survived by his half-brother Joseph Philibert and wife, Joanne, of Warrensburg; two half-sisters, Yvonne Lawrence of Warrensburg and Jackie Smith and husband Ray of Oregon; Jason's nephew and best friend, Douglas Allen of Warrensburg; best friend, Dennis Prosser Jr. of Fort Ann; also other nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins and other dear friends.

At Jason's request, there will be no calling hours or funeral services.

Jason , HALLSY , You will be sorley missed my friend , youtube will never be the same , Jalapeno rings will forever remind me of you , your subscribers and friends loved you because you were a respectfull decent human being with a huge heart , I never thought that I would be this upset over someone ive never met in person but this is the why you were such a special person because I know there are so many that feel like I do , rest in peace Jason your a good man

I miss you Hallsy, you were a great friend and person. I think you had more of an impact on the world than you ever knew, so many ppl care about you, and miss you. One day we will meet again. You You will never be forgotten buddy!

I went to school with Jason and never new about his youtube cooking shows.... but anyways i would just like to tell his family and friends, im really sorry for your loss.... god bless you Jason...


My heart goes out to Jason`s mother and family. Jason was a well liked, and respected Youtuber. RIP Hallsy, you were loved.
