February 21, 1952 — October 9, 2017
QUEENSBURY — Gail Marlene Hart, 65, of Queensbury, passed peacefully into the arms of our Lord on Oct. 9, 2017 after an unexpected illness. Gail was born Feb. 21, 1952 in Glens Falls. She was the daughter of Gordon (Bucky) and Mary E. Stewart.
Gail grew up locally, attending Queensbury High School. Following high school, she started her family and worked as a waitress for many years until arthritis made it impossible.
She married her best friend, Cecil L. Hart, Jr., “Sonny,” on Dec. 30, 1987. Together they enjoyed classic car shows, motorcycle rides, bluegrass and country music and winters in North Fort Myers, Florida. They loved dancing, and Gail had a beautiful singing voice. Gail and Sonny shared 30 years of love, family and memories.
Gail was the person that was always there for everyone, regardless of the time of day. She always had a shoulder you could cry on, an ear to listen; she spoke kind words; she walked alongside us, holding the hands of many, showing her support in every possible way; she never missed a single step; her stride was steady and strong when we needed it the most.
If you asked her what her greatest accomplishment was, she would tell you it would be the children she brought into this world and those that she accepted as her own. Gail thoroughly enjoyed watching the children grow up to be wonderful adults. She cherished everything about life, always bringing a smile, sharing a laugh. She was supportive, loved and cherished by all those that knew her.
Her kind words will be forever missed by many. Heaven gained an amazing woman today, sharply dressed with matching jewelry. She was a wife, mother, grandmother and a friend to many; the gates of heaven opened wide and welcomed her, playing all her favorite songs.
Gail was predeceased by her loving father, Gordon “Bucky” Stewart; and her stepfather Joseph Plisko. She is survived by her loving mother, Mary E. Stewart; her beloved husband, Cecil L. Hart, Jr., “Sonny”; her children, Tammy and Samuel Greene, Gordon and Katee Breault, Clinton “Joe” Breault, Statia Hart, Jeremy and Abby Hart, Steven and Wendy Hart, Jeffery and Alice Hart and Tara Hart. Gail also had many grandchildren, including Charles “Chucky” Naylor, Stephanie Principe, Tonilynn Naylor, Ryan Colvin, Blayne Colvin, Chloee Breault, Arianna Breault, Seth Hart, Skylar Hart, Savannah Hart, Anthony Hart, Jonathan Hart, Tyler Hart and Kayden Breault; her special cousin, Kelly Kay Goodspeed; and her very best buddy, Deedle Diane Porlier. Gail also had many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
It’s possible that she was the #1 fan of Elvis Presley. Rest in peace, our beautiful Angel!
