WARRENSBURG — Dorothy Marie Sexton was a hard worker; working various jobs until she decided to go into business for herself. She lived to shop and used it to her advantage, buying and selling. She started small and soon grew into a big enough business to move into a shop. She did this for many years in Warrensburg before she moved to Florida and continued to buy and sell until she was 94. This and her dogs were her life.
Dorothy was predeceased by her husband, Richard; her sister, Hilda Ishkanian and her brother, Marshall Shaw, both from Warrensburg; her daughter, Beverly Sexton; son, Alan Sexton; grandson, Michael Sexton of Glens Falls.
Dorothy leaves behind her daughter, Sandra Tidd of Fort Edward; granddaughters, Gretchen Brown of Warrensburg, Ann Stewart of Gansevoort, Aileen Holmes of Moreau, and Meghan Blackman of Hudson Falls; grandsons, Richard Renaud of North Carolina, Steve Sexton of Glens Falls; and several great-grandchildren, great-nieces and nephews.
At Dorothy’s request, there will be no calling hours or funeral.
