OLMSTEDVILLE — Beverly T. Bailey, 87, of Olmstedville, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2018 at the home of her daughter, Brenda Dygert, in Holland Patent.
Mrs. Bailey was born on Nov. 25, 1930 in Louisville, a daughter of the late Arthur and Gladys (Bennor) Harvey. She was first married to Fred Carl Swanson, who passed in 1977. Beverly later married William Bailey, who preceded her in death in 2017. She was a devoted homemaker and was self-employed as a housekeeper at area homes and camps in Essex County. Mrs. Bailey was of the Catholic faith.
Survivors include one son, Carl Fritz Swanson of Mebane, North Carolina; one daughter, Brenda Dygert, and her husband, Rick, with whom she resided with in Holland Patent for the past two months; one granddaughter, Stena Swanson and her husband, Brian Auger of Frankfort; two sisters, Helen Griffin and Cheryl Warren, both of Mebane, North Carolina; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to both her husbands, she was predeceased by a brother, Arlington “Chic” Harvey; a sister, Dorothy Persons; infant siblings, Ann and Wayne Harvey; and a half-sister, Katherine Arrell.
In accordance with Beverly’s wishes, there will be no public services at this time. Spring interment will take place in the Methodist Episcopal Cemetery in the Town of Newcomb.
Memorials may be made to Newcomb Volunteer Rescue Squad, Newcomb Volunteer Fire Department or Minerva Fire and Rescue.
