POTTERSVILLE - Alison Higgins Hayes, 32, died Saturday Nov. 8, 2008, as a result of an automobile accident.

Born Oct. 27, 1976, in Glens Falls she was the daughter of Robert C. Higgins and Melody Monroe Gibson.

Alison was a graduate of North Warren Central School Class of 1995. She will be remembered as a loving and caring mother.

She was predeceased by her maternal grandfather, Frederick E. Monroe.

Survivors include her children, James C. Hayes and Chelsea Rose Hayes of Chestertown; her father, Robert C. Higgins of Brant Lake; her mother and stepfather, Melody and Michael Gibson of Chestertown; the father to her children, Scott Hayes of Chestertown; one sister, Anita (Tim) Needham of Chestertown; three brothers: Christopher Gibson of Chestertown, Robert Higgins and Cody Higgins of Brant Lake; maternal grandmother, Dorothy Monroe Bradley of North Creek; paternal grandparents, Jack and Eleanor of Brant Lake; nieces, Gabriell Needham and Daniell Needham of Chestertown; one nephew, Justin Needham of Chestertown; companion, Seth Walker of Pottersville; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12, at Barton-McDermott Funeral Home, Inc., 9 Pine St., Chestertown with the Rev. William Bowman officiating.

Interment will be at Bolton Rural Cemetery, Bolton Landing.

Relatives and friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. today, Tuesday, Nov. 11, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to benefit Alison's children, Chelsea and James Hayes, c/o Scott Hayes, 91 Pine Notch Road, Chestertown, NY 12817.
